By using BoardMe you agree to these terms. BoardMe is a listing and discovery platform for boarding accommodation in Sri Lanka — we are not a party to any tenancy agreement between seekers and owners.
No brokers or agents
Listing on behalf of third parties for a fee is prohibited. Accounts operating as brokers or agents will be banned and their listings removed. Owners must have a genuine personal or family connection to the property they list.
Accurate information
Owners must describe their property truthfully, use real photos of the actual property, and keep availability up to date. We review listings before they go live but cannot guarantee every detail; always visit a property before paying anything.
Payments and disputes
BoardMe never handles rent, deposits or any payment between seekers and owners. Agree terms in writing directly with the other party. Disputes about tenancies are between the tenant and the owner.
Account conduct
Spam, harassment, fake reviews, and misuse of contact details are prohibited. We may suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms, and remove any content at our discretion. Every moderation action is internally logged.
Your content and photos
You keep ownership of everything you post, and grant BoardMe a licence to display it for as long as it is on the platform. Photos are watermarked and stripped of location data before publishing. The full details are in our Photo Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Fees
Listing on BoardMe is currently free, up to 3 listings per owner account. If we introduce paid features we will say so clearly before you are charged, and we will not remove existing listings because of a change in pricing.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
